2015 Virginia Small Grains Field Day showcased education, economic, and environmental opportunities for continued success

The Virginia Grain Producers Association, Virginia Cooperative Extension, Virginia Small Grains Checkoff Board, and the Hula family of Renwood Farms were proud to host the 2015 Virginia Small Grains Field Day. This year’s field day was held at the Jamestown 4-H Education Center and featured a farm tour of Mainland Farm, managed by the Hula family. The 4-H Education Center is located on the banks of the James River and has educated generations of Virginians. Mainland Farm is one of the Nation’s oldest continually operating farms and a testament to the sustainability of Virginia agriculture. These locations were the inspiration of this year’s theme: Education, Economic, and Environmental Opportunities for Continued Success.
