USDA graduate and post-doc fellowships now open for applications

The USDA NIFA Fellowships Grant Program is now open and the request for applications has been posted.

This single RFA includes instructions for both pre-doctoral and post-doctoral fellowships. The Letter of Intent is due on Dec. 12 and the full application is due on Feb. 20, 2014. These fellowships are for research, education, extension, and integrated research/education/Extension projects. There are six challenge areas:

  • Agricultural and Natural Resources Science for Climate Variability and Change
  • Childhood Obesity Prevention
  • Food Safety
  • Food Security
  • Sustainable Bioenergy
  • Water Resources

Pre-doctoral fellowships provide $39,500 for two years for a total of $79,000. Post-doctoral fellowships provide $75,000 for two years for a total of $150,000. Please read the RFA to find the eligibility requirements and eligible expenses. If you have any questions, you can talk to your advisor or contact Nancy Dudek.
