Melanie Staples — September Employee of the Month

Melanie StaplesMelanie Staples has been selected as the September Employee of the Month. Melanie is the Family Nutrition Program coordinator in the Department of Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise.

Melanie’s nominator highlighted her “dependability, attention to detail, and team spirit” and said she “is a consummate professional … always ready to drop what she is doing to pitch in during times of high need.”

“A great example of Melanie’s prowess is the role out of FNP’s ‘Teen Cuisine,’ a new cooking skills curriculum with many required supplies that had to be distributed to 60 program assistants statewide which required many late nights, which Melanie completed while maintaining her famous laugh,” her nominator added.  “Melanie Staples has gone above and beyond her duties as Family Nutrition Program Coordinator on a regular basis and deserves recognition for her contribution to the CALS family.”
