As many of you know, the Board of Visitors is the governing body of Virginia Tech who oversee university policy and action. As the Undergraduate Student Representative to the Board of Visitors for the 2014-2015 academic year, I am tasked with providing the undergraduate voice to the Board and university administration.
To do so most effectively, I am reaching out to form a committee comprised of students of diverse backgrounds and experiences. The purpose of this committee is to gather student opinion and provide unique insights on university matters, work to complete tasks that build community, and facilitate events that bridge the gap between students, faculty, and administration. There are no requirements other than being an undergraduate student in good standing during the 2014-2015 academic year.
If this opportunity interests you, the application is here. Please print out the application and return it to 315 Squires Student Center by 5pm on September 12th (across from the Student Government Office and the office for Student Centers and Activities Finance and Business Services). If you know of any other students who may be interested or would be a great benefit to the committee please forward this application and encourage them to apply. Also, If anyone else has any questions please feel free to ask me directly at: firstname.lastname@example.org .
Thank you for your time, Go Hokies!
Austin Larrowe , Undergraduate Representative to the Board of Visitors
